Imagine going from being worshipped in a temple to navigating social media, smartphones, traffic jams, and online banking. Ancient strength and wisdom might help, but adapting to a constantly changing society would be its own challenge.

Kane faces a different struggle. As an immortal who has lived for thousands of years, he has watched the world evolve while searching for a connection that seemed increasingly out of reach. Longevity may provide experience, but it doesn’t protect someone from loneliness.

One of the themes I enjoy exploring in the Immortals Series is that even ancient beings still face very human problems. They love, grieve, make mistakes, and search for purpose just like the rest of us.

The world may change around them, but some struggles remain timeless.
